The Midnight Trilogy

About

In the Midnight Blue is a story I started in May of 2020, and it is the first book in The Midnight Trilogy. The rough draft took about three months to finish, and I've edited it many times since.

In the Midnight Blue is a science-fiction and space opera, that also has post-apocalyptic, dystopian, fantasy/science-fantasy, slight horror, and supernatural elements. A lot is revealed about the characters, their backstorys, the world they live in, and how the world came to be the way it is, as the trilogy continues.

The main setting is on an Earth-like planet called Vale, where the clouds are silver and gold, a stream of stardust blankets the atmosphere, and the sky is deep purple and moonlit most of the year. The space colonists who live on Vale are able to grow vegetation and breathe normally thanks to the planets Earth-like composition. The colonist's live in cities harboring advanced technology, government, education systems, architecture, and medicine, which all play a role in this novel. There are protected and hidden realms and cities, thanks to infinity portals/gates, which allow interdimensional travel.

Vale is in an ongoing conflict with the Earthen nation of Patria, once called America. A lot is revealed about this conflict not only as the trilogy continues, but in the novel I'm currently working on, alongside edits/rewrites to the rest of the Midnight Trilogy. This is novel is a prequel, but readers will get the most out of it after reading the Midnight Trilogy.

I'm currently rewriting the first two books, and writing the final novel in the trilogy, though my outline is complete. It's going to be amazing. The entire universe contains eight books, six of which are contained in trilogies.

Any similarities between my plot, world, character names, and events are purely coincidental. I wrote this before reading a lot of popular YA/new adult novels of this genre.
